Park Ave Diner: Reviews & Ratings
I love fresh squeezed orangw juice. Next time i will ask for a momosa, with my omlete.
We visited the Park Ave Diner as part of the Somerset Patriots fun diner passport event. We’re almost done, with 2 to go!! We were welcomed and shown a table right away, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food came out fast, fresh and hot. There’s a large menu, with lots of choices, including healthy ones (and fun drinks!). The diner is accessible , with ramps and lots of room between tables. Plenty of parking. Young people near our table were respected and well served! Beautiful cakes and baked goods. Truly enjoyed our lunch.
Park Ave Diner is my go-to spot when I need something reliable, especially after a long day seeing patients or pulling a late shift. The fact that it’s open 24 hours is a lifesaver—sometimes it feels like the only place awake when I am. Service here is always on point—friendly, fast, and attentive no matter what time you roll in. The food? Honestly, it doesn’t always look like much (the meatloaf has raised a few eyebrows), but it consistently tastes amazing. Comfort food done right. I keep coming back because it never lets me down. Whether it’s 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., Park Ave Diner delivers.
Menu is a bit overwhelming and scattered. It feels like they threw everything on legal size paper to fit one page. They serve Pepsi products, gourmet and artisans coffee and alcoholic beverages. We tried a vodka Cosmo with Titos Vodka and it was okay. Chicken soup was delicious and the crackers were even good. The soup was full of flavor with large chunks of white meat, carrots, celery, and onions. The salad came with the meal and was bursting with chunks of fresh green peppers, red onions, shaved carrots, diced cucumbers, two cheeses, and tomatoes. The meatloaf is light and immediately tastes of breadcrumbs and onion soup mix. Ordered brown gravy on the side and it was homemade. The broccoli was lightly steamed with no seasoning. The French fries were preseasoned, not salty, and crisp. The roasted turkey is served atop a sweet stuffing made with bread and raisins. It was wet and mushy. The mashed potatoes are plentiful and need no additional butter or seasoning. The green beans were freshly steamed with no seasoning. I ordered brown gravy on the side to moisten a slightly dry turkey. Overall, great meal.
Food is Excellent, Beautiful plating and Large portions. Served Hot, Coffee is fantastic and the staff is pleasant and very accommodating. Excellent service and clean establishment.
I dined in here at around 7:00 PM on 4/17/24 and was nicely greeted as I walked in and quickly seated. I spent $38 + tip for California Skillet, Oreo Pancakes, and a Smokey Chipotle Cheddar Burger. The location of the establishment is nice as it is located in a main road area that I pass by frequently. They have a parking lot with a plentiful number of spaces. Our waiter was very attentive and checked on us very frequently. The ambiance of the restaurant gave me a very clean modern vibe, with it being bright and having nice neutral colors. The diner also offers a bar, have their desserts nicely displayed, and TVs all around the place. As for a review of the food itself: The California Skillet (I drew the smiley face) was definitely one of the best skillets I have had. The skillet contained nicely cooked potatoes, sausage, onions, mushrooms, avocado, perfectly melted cheese, and eggs cooked to your liking. The plate comes out super-hot and fresh and every bite blends together nicely. As for the Smokey Chipotle Cheddar Burger, it was tasty and came with chipotle mayo and bacon. The burger was soft enough to bite into but not soft enough to fall apart. The fries were super crispy and are the epitome of diner fries. The Oreo Pancakes tasted sweet and buttery. With the butter it was sweet and salty but still fluffy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who happens to be in the area as well as a great place to hang out with family/friends.
Classic dinner food with some Cuban options. And they have liquors. It was good to know that they are 24/7 - rare to find since COVID. Also, I love their giant tables with comfortable benches. The coffee really stand out. Good coffee with whole milk, free refill, and for only $2.25 - only place in this neighborhood. We ordered French toast, waffles, and Cuban breakfast. The diner classics were still better: Sausages were think, hams were think, bacon was crispy. They had so many different layered cakes in the fridge, and we just had to try a piece with the awesome coffee. We did a slides of the chocolate layered cake. Our waitress did a beautiful presentation with whipped cream, which really leveled up the experience. It was a good dessert to finish our brunch. We will definitely come back.
